Teuton Resources Corp. (“TUO”) (“Teuton”) is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced on the gold-silver Del Norte property, situated 17 miles east of Stewart, BC. The contractor is Aggressive Diamond Drilling of Kelowna, BC.
The drill is currently on the 4 th hole of the 2005 program, aimed at testing the southernmost and widest portion of the K-LG vein breccia system. The first two of the 2005 holes were oriented so as to intersect the structure 165 feet south along strike of the last hole of the 2004 program. Both of these first holes intersected K-LG type mineralization, with the second, steeper hole cutting the zone from 604.5 to 660 feet, one of the deeper intersections to date.
The third hole of the 2005 program was collared on the same section as Hole 2004-36, but with a shallower dip angle. It also intersected the structure. The fourth hole, currently in progress, is at a dip angle aimed at intersecting the structure midway between Hole 2004-36 and 2005-3.
Further drilling is planned northward to test the region between Pad N and Pad L, and also southward to test the region between Pad N and the surface exposure of the K (Kosciuszko) zone. Surface trenching and drilling of the K zone in 2002 showed the structure varies from 28 to 33 feet wide at this point, with grades varying from 0.185 to 0.442 oz/ton gold equivalent. The area between Pad N and the K zone is underlain by a small icefield and has not been previously accessible. During the past year, ongoing ablation (glacial meltback) has exposed a small rock island near the center of the icefield. This island will be used as a drill pad site aimed at testing possibly as much as 330 feet of strike length of the system with a fan of holes on three separate azimuths.
Please refer to the Teuton News Release dated Oct. 20, 2004 for a summary of all previous holes, and a map showing the K-LG structure and 2002-4 drill hole locations. Geologist K. Mastalerz, Ph.D., is the Qualified Person in charge of the 2005 program on the Del Norte property.
